Benefits

Mezzanine Floor Design
The design of the mezzanine floor was to include a column grid that spanned over the cold room and did not interfere with the usability. The finish floor level was agreed to match the existing toilet block for ease of access.
Challenges
With a short lead time of a few weeks set to install the mezzanine floor before the cold room was built, we faced a tough challenge due the snowfall created by ‘The Beast from the East’. We usually deliver on artic lorries but with such dangerous conditions on the roads, we resulted to large vans with smaller loads to increase the chances of the materials being delivered safely.
Installation
Our electrician and plumber carried out their sections of the refurbishment direct to the clients requirements. The warehouse floor was ground back by the landlords’ contractor and thereafter CICS sealed and painted the floor with epoxy products during the nights when the site was not occupied.
